Tag : Family TourTrip Overview :This short tour offers the chance to play four contrasting golf courses that lie amidst the stunning mountain scenery of the Vale of Kashmir. Flying up to Srinagar we play golf nearly every day, whilst staying overnight on one of the houseboats that line the waterfront near Dal Lake. The courses are distinctively different from each other and offer an interesting challenge. One is a links course, said to be the highest green golf course in the world; one is the longest course in India, ringed by snow-clad mountains; one is a local course within the Srinagar city limits; and one has been described as one of the best courses in India. By the end of the week we will have played every course in Kashmir. The cost of each of our games is included in the tour, but the cost of buggies and caddies are not, as requirements may vary. This is not a tour for golf fanatics looking only for world class courses, but a chance for the average golfer to play a few rounds as part of the experience of visiting India. You can bring your own clubs, or there is the possibility to hire clubs at each course. And should you travel with a non-golf playing partner or friend, there are opportunities galore for shopping in the bazaars of Srinagaar as well as days spent lazing on the veranda of our houseboat. Since it is not possible to hold allocated tee-off times at each course more than a few weeks prior to our arrival, the sequence of golf rounds and sightseeing may on occasion vary from that described below, in order to fit in with our tee-off times.
